Stretching along 4 miles of the Hudson River on Manhattan's Upper West Side, Riverside Park is one of New York City's distinct treasures. An historic landscape first designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and greatly expanded under Parks Commissioner Robert Moses, the Park serves an active and diverse community from 59th to 158th Street.

As the nonprofit support group for the Park, Riverside Park Fund seeks to nurture the Park's well-being, to preserve its historic nature, and to guide the community in developing a sense of active stewardship. The Fund is instrumental in supporting the Parks Department in ongoing physical care of the Park and also raises monies for Park improvements, conducts an extensive Grassroots volunteer corps, sponsors creative events, and offers environmental education programs for schoolchildren and families.

Now in its 12th year, the Fund's annual benefit, A Cabaret Evening in Riverside Park, is an important source of funding for the Park. Cabaret attracts community members who care deeply about their 'backyard' park and understand the quality-of-life improvements provided by clean and safe urban green space. As part of the event, attendees may bid in a silent auction of items -- from a private cruise on the Hudson to a stay in the South of France. This year, we are adding exciting new lots online!
